So I have some Premier's, I'm just not sure which!

Ok, so I checked the 14x10 tom - it is indeed the same shell material as the 12x8 - birch with beech rings. It has two badges on it, both with different serial numbers. The 12 also has two badges, neither with serial numbers, and neither badge on the 12 matches the other badge (and one hasn't even had the centre of the "P" drilled for a vent - it's just stuck on the wrap). So the serial numbers probably don't mean jack to the drums, but maybe one of them is the original, who knows. The serial numbers are 1896 and 3276.

Didn't get a chance to look at the 16" or bass drum for serial numbers - although as I've said, theres a huge chance that few or none of the badges are original...

Like a few said then it sounds like a bitsa kit.

The serial numbers mean nothing apart from the era - no serial number is 1969 or older. Four digit is early 70's and five digit is mid 70's -on

The 14x10 was released in 1971 when Premier's were all African mahogany so sounds like the shell is post '75 with earlier badges

A local drummer who is into premier just told me the other day they sometimes had mahogany bass and snare with birch toms, usually the floor though.

Bet these sound real nice!
