Snare Wires for Tama Artwood 8x14“

Loading...

Hey guys, I recently bought a Tama Artwood 8x14“ from 1980.

I read that the Puresound wires for Pearl Free Floaters would fit over the

Roller Bed Strainer. Can I also use normal sized wires with longer straps.

What would be your guy‘s recommendation for wires on that snare?

Thanks

The whole point of long wires is to approximate the characteristics of such a snare to the sensitivity of a parallel-strainer snare.

There is no point in using standard wires.

Your good way is indeed to Pearl S-025 type.

Cheers,

George.

Lot's of folks bastardize free floaters with the shorter snares because the longer ones are too sensitive.

To each their own.

+1 for the Pearl S 025. They work great on my Tama Imperialstar snare with roller beds.
