The heads on a well-timed drum will sympathetically resonate with other frequencies. In order to eliminate the snare buzz, you'll have to remedy that, or learn to live with it. :)

No way around it....some notes are going to trigger your drum to vibrate and buzz. I just bought a subwoofer for my stereo and now certain notes make my windows vibrate! You might try changing the proximity of the drums and bass in relation to each other. The only other thing I can think of is to just randomly crank or loosen a lug screw until said sympathetic vibration goes away....maybe at the cost of your ideal snare sound/feel....but, oh well...gigs. :)

As O-Lugs states- if you play LIVE- there is no way to avoid sympathetic vibration- sometimes the bass player will hold a note at sound check and my sticks laying on the floor tom will FLY into the air!.. Magic? NO!- the vibration of LIVE instruments will constantly vibrate tensioned heads and thus/ snare wires..... Nobody hears that buzz in the audience when you are playing so you have to tune your set to the room/ do soundcheck and .... forget it.... unless FOH says to retune... (The only other option is to dampen the snare so much as to choke it and suffer with the backbeat being compromised due to lackluster snare hits...) Let it ring- let it sing- let it BUZZ! --- (unless you are recording.... then obviously record drum parts individually!) (p.s- record LIVE sessions and evaluate what buzz is actually heard)

The bad news,... Your Supra has an inferior throw-off. Saggy strings that speak.

The good news,... Set your tension to a snug pull, then turn the wheel down until it just barely buzzes. Then turn the wheel on the butt plate because that one lowers as it tightens. You should have no snare until you hit hard. Play hard ans get buzzed.
