Snare Shell ID needed

I believe this is a Slingerland, there was no badge on it when I got it. The shell on the left in the first picture is my mid-50's Radio King, the right shell is unknown. The rest of the pics are of the unknown shell, with some extra holes. Thanks in advance.

Its better to have people think you're an idiot, than to open your mouth and prove them wrong, unless you doubt yourself then speak away....

One quick check is to slap a Slingy lug on there. Also, measure the hole spacing for the lugs, everybody's is different. You'll get a good idea which companies lugs belong on there.

Too bad about the extra holes, it's a nice shell. Plug away baby!

Too many great drums to list here!

Looks Slingy to me.... the top right shot looks like a clamshell throw-off set of holes with the muffler mounting holes one panel to the right and the badge hole one panel to the left. A couple of extra holes along at the throw-off location though.

The clamshell set-up uses the butt as the tension adjustment.... My thinking has been when we see extra holes on the throw-off side is that the throw malfunctioned, and got replaced with some standard style of butt, so you have a tension adjustment utilizing the original clamshell butt and a fixed standard style butt replacing the original clamshell throw-off.

If diameter allows, I'd wrap her and install either a genuine clamshell set-up or a 3-point repro......

It's an awesome shell, whatever you do she should sing out loud !
