Snare Identification

Loading...

For example, this drum is 60s Pearl (made by Pearl at least, though possibly badged otherwise) with the battleship era lug. (See first pic - sky blue pearl snare)

while....this one is NOT from the 60s (red pearl snare) http://www.ebay.com/itm/1960S-RED-MOTHER-OF-PEARL-SNARE-DRUM-/221262316141?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item338443026d

Notice the difference in the knobs and the lugs. Both Pearls but from different eras. You will also see all these on Pearl made 'stencil kits' that carry one of as many as 100 or more different badges - named by importers/dealers in the states.

Ok - class dismissed - have such a long list of non-drum stuff to do!

OTHER READERS IN THE KNOW - PLEASE CORRECT ME IF I AM WRONG - THOUGH INDEED ALSO DO SO IN MY THREAD ABOUT THIS ('Battleship lugs')

Thanks,

John

I had a great day! Instead of sleeping in and wasting the day, I got up at 8 and I had all my slacking done by noon!
