Snare Identification - Web Site Question

Loading...

A web site visitor sent me this image for identification. I asked for a better picture, but thought one of the board experts could tell from the picture provided.

Looks like a 5x14 1920's/30's Leedy...the 4-pt. strainer is the clue...

Those lugs, and that strainer, don't look like Leedy to me...I'm guessing something old from outside the USA...

I asked for better pictures since it is such a far shot and hard to tell for sure.

Hi,

I received the drum yesterday, cleaned it and gave it new heads and new Sonor Bronce snare-wires.

For me there's nothing makes it easy to indentify this model.

Only two specs: Inside on the seam you find a stamped "5" on the top and down to the bottom head. Second, there was a sticker or paper-badge in the inside of the shell...

Hi,

...so there's nobody out there to identify my vintage snare???

For sure, it must be an european model due to the hardware.

No german drum 'cause normal heads fit.

It has a very vintage warm sound, very special and sensitive....
