Snare ID Ludwig?

From Starship Krupa

If the 1959 date is correct, then my guess is Barrett Deems (P-83 strainer) or Buddy Rich Super Classic (P87 strainer) with a mystery replacement strainer.I have a '59 Barrett Deems in Black/Gold Duco.Have you given the hoops the magnet test? Mine turned out to be brass under the plating.

Tried this morning. Turns out it is nickel over brass!

Here's some inside pics and more questions. There is a B written on the shell. Could this be for "brass"? or a previous owner? The date stamp is hard to read be seems to read 1959, though it could be 69, though the 5 definitely has a flat top. I don't have any Ludwig stamps to compare it with. Does anybody have a shot of a 60's stamp? Thanks!

Clear mahogany interior would make it 59, it would be maple if it was 69 and the hardware would be COS. Does it have any extra holes?

Hey Cam! Back from your weekend? It's definitely mahogany, thus 1959. It's set up with not 1 but 2 MIJ strainers, therefore there are 2 holes drilled for the strainer that is on the butt side, but the hole patterns on the strainer side seem to match those of the original p-83 (?) strainer. There is a hole under the muffler knob that I am assuming is for a screw, but I haven't taken a head off yet, yup just missing the screw there. And the hole for missing badge and grommet. It has a NOS crown logo emperor on the batter side, New Evans hazy 300 underneath. the muffler looks original. the tubular metal piece that the muffler knob screw runs through looks like it is made of brass. Oh, and she sounds great!

Here's a few more pics. As you can see the strainer holes line up on the strainer side. The bearing edges are in great shape as are the rerings. The snare beds look quite deep.
