Gentlemen,
I have found an old 6 lug snare bottom hoop in my collection. I am wondering if this is a ***el or junk?

Magnet DOES NOT stick.
Hoop appears nickel (or at least dull chrome)?
Hoop is heavier than others.
Is this a brass hoop? Is it a pot-metal import?

Definitely NOT a cast hoop. It could be nickle over brass, looks kind of dull, that's why I think nickle rather than chrome. As far as brand? Could be Ludwig or maybe Rogers....if its rather tall, that usually defines a rogers hoop.
Also, it could be a MIJ import hoop, but those were usually made of steel rather than brass, although I'm not sure if MIJ drums ever used aluminum for their hoops......
The hoop stands 1 1/8" tall.
