I’m buying a Gretsch snare described as a 1960’s Renown. The wrap is not in terrific shape.
Is a re-wrap advisable re potential re-sale?
I’m not buying it with the intention of selling it - but I sometimes need to raise $.
Thoughts?

Depends on what finish it is and what shape it's in. A rare wrap should be left alone. A more common one isn't a big crime to rewrap but unless it's in truly awful condition the rewrap will probably be worth less than the original.
