I played a 5"supra ,hammered bronze 6.5" supra and 5" Rogers dyna during my blues days, all were good, the rogers had great tone, and a little extra volume and power, but was less forgiving of my technique, the bronze had nice warmth to it for that style.Like M layton,I am a big fan of the six lug wood drums for blues/Nawlins and rootsy style music, great shuffle drums,Just something about the openness and the color you get when moving from the center of the drum to the edge.Considering your collection, and the fact that you like playing blues,I would put a 6 lug wood drum at the top of your list,I had a 60's slingerland that was terrific, and I think they can be found in good and original condition for around 125.00-175.00,IMO they are a great value /bang for the buck, especially if you are a blues/roots rock guy.

Just determined that my recently acquired snare drum that came with my old Ludwig kit is actually one of the "COB" Ludwig Super snare drums...5x14 Keystone pre-serial badge. How cool is that? This drum is amazing!!! This old COB Ludwig truly lives up to its reputation. When it comes to a backbeat, this thing is money.
