snare cord

Loading...

I recently misplaced my snarecord bag ----I had a lot of it, so, didn't want to buy another lot. ----was waiting to finish some snares. About a week ago a venetian blind broke(unrepairable) and in the process of removing it I discovered it had about 6 feet of the nicest snarecord on it, which served as a sashcord----a virtually identical construction but about 50% heavier. I had been finding that I had to double or sometimes triple knot the modern snarecord in some strainers----not so with this stuff; one knot and it is tight and firm . Keep you're eyes open for old venetian blinds.

LOL - Small world! I've been using a recycled venetian blind cord on all the snare drums that come through here for more than a year. Excellent snare cord...

Great tip. Clapping Happy2

Too many great drums to list here!
