Can anyone identify this snare from this picture and tell me a value?

If insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results, is it insane to practice?

Waaaah...pic is too far away, and no badge or throwoff is shown....all I can see is it's an 8-lug w/ sticksaver hoops....it's a very obscure photo for ID purposes....

Yeh, don't you hate that. I mean, seriously, how is it that people put a drum for sale and fail to take a picture of the badge, or throw? In this case, no picture would have been better.

I'm gonna quiz my non-drumming friends (all of them) by asking, "if you could take one picture of this drum, what would it be?". I bet they would all say a front view with the badge.

I've seen auctions on da' bay where there are five or more pictures and none of them are helpful - artful closeups of the interior of a drumcase and part of a tuning key. Why take pictures? But I guess if you don't know, you don't know, huh?

$75 is the asking price. Is it worth a call?

Looks like a Sound King model to me, but what do I know!

$75? It's worth the call. Only if its like some the 80's stuff they came out with is it not worth the price, in my humble opinion.

Thanks Kevin, I, too, know little about Slingerland. This might just be a good introduction. Thanks.

Yeah, I agree with Kevin. If it's not the asian shelled stuff they started cranking out in the 80's, it's a good deal.

Even if it is the import shells, though, it's still probably worth about $50.

...the case is concerning me...it doesn't look particularly vintage...but who knows if it came with it originally ?
