From the Cook book on Slingerland, the Ray McKinley tom holder came out in 1947 and looks to be the first to use the diamond clip mount for the tom. There were two sizes of Streamline lugs, I know the larger have a 3 inch hole spacing, I just measured the ones I have. I got no help on the smaller streamline lugs as to hole spacing.... ain't got none, brother

Yes, I saw that too in the Slingy book . The Ray McKinley....... I was not sure if the meant the clip mount on the tom or the consolett that was installed on the bass drum....

My bass drum actually has the Streamlined lugs which I suspect have the 3 inch hole spacing. But my toms have the beavertails which are 2 1/4" ....

The Ray McKinley is the consolette. No need for a diamond clip tom mount until Ray came to town in '47.

Got ya. Thanks . I've never seen that consolett in person but it actually looks like a good design.

Ok, I just found a completed listing for small streamlined lugs and the seller states 2.25".....same as the beavers...

That seller for the over-priced tom was helpful before.... maybe contact him again and ask for the measurement for the streamlines on his tom?

They look to be the smaller ones.

Please post up your findings, I'm curious too !

Thanks
