Slingy Oyster Blue?

From Jaye

It's either a re-wrap... or an old Japanese shell, rebadged....methinks......the Japanese Oyster wraps in the '60's were quite awesome-looking, actually....

The Japanese wouldn`t put a seam right next to an ID badge either- must be a thoughtless mistake on a re-wrap. Sumo Dude

Drum interior will tell all....could be that on those drums, the badge wasn't grommetted, it could have been a sticker-badge applied elsewhere on the drum....a'la Whitehall or such....

Has anyone even thought that it could be a really straight crack all the way across? I know the odds are extreme for something like that, but......could happen and from this pic, it is not really clear, so it could be a crack. It just doesn't look 100% straight, looks maybe fuzzy, or jagged to my sorry eyes.

Well, on second thought, and a closer look, yeah, it looks like a seam more I look at it.
