Slingerland Zoomatic Issues - Help Needed!!

Loading...

Hi all,

I recently purchased a Slingerland 62-64 15 x 8 Snare in Red Sparkle. However it came without the Zoomatic strainer which I purchased separately.

Now that I finally have the two together, I'm having difficulty installing the strainer without the Rims/Hoops hitting it when fully fitted.

I've tried to adjust the gasket that is screwed on to the knob, but it won't adjust.

Has anyone got some insight on how I can install it correctly? I currently have it attached to the shell by the two small screws at the top...

Thanks (I'm a Gretsch & Ludwig guy, this is my first Slingerland Drum).

Thanks,

Joash

Here is a side view of the Zoomatic on my old Sound King. (Thanks David..;))

Maybe this will give you some clues.. It will be great once you get it figured out, I think you will really like the way it works.

Sounds like you have real nice "first" Slingerland drum there as well.

You WILL find the answer here... you can put that in the bank.

Thanks guys, I managed to fix it today with a fellow drummer. All that was required was a good set of pliers.

Cheers,
