slingerland throw off

Loading...

I have a 50s slingerland snare drum with a busted throw off. Its the style that uses 3 bolts for mounting. The gibraltar SC-GVSTO model throw off looks alot like it I just want to make sure the holes will line up. Drilling is NEVER an option!! Please help!

The strainer in question is this one here? http://www.vintagedrumguide.com/drcjw/article_5_strainers_3point-8.html. I'm not sure if the Gibraltar has the same hole dimensions, but you can make a mounting plate if not.

Your drummers not much good is he!? What you need is someone that's as good as me. ! John Henry Bonham !!

Hi surfdrummer! I've heard from quite a few people that this aftermarket "3-point strainer" fits only the upper two holes, but not the bottom. I don't know why they just didn't make it a perfect bolt-on replacement!

There are universal mounting plates to attach many types of snare strainers to your drum without drilling. Hopefully, someone can post information about where to get them.

No matter how far you push the envelope, it is still stationery.

So the Gibralter SC-GVSTO works !!! The two top holes lined up perfectly while the bottom hole didnt line up it turns out that i did not really need it anyway!! Im more than thrilled with the final result. Big shout out to Pelletier Drums for all the help and install.
