Sometime ago I had machinist tool up and fabricate some clamp bars for the TDR & Zoomatic strainers. They are exact duplicates right down to the 30 degree ridges on the back. You can see the zoomatic has a thinner off spaced hole on the right. The factory one was like that & he duplicated it !
The clamp bars are hand machined aircraft aluminum and have some tooling marks. Most guys here like to polish & are handy, these can be made to shine like a mirror. I don’t have the time or the desire to do this.
The screws are stainless steel, that was the only configuration I could get to duplicate pitch / thread / head shape and drive.
I didn't have many of these bars made due to the cost. Design and set up is the cost driver on these projects. Machines shops run $60 an hour, ouch..
The bars are $15 each, the screws are .50 each plus $3 shipping. They will be sent first class parcel, that is about the cheapest way. The supply is very limited.
For some reason not all the photos will load.
I am considering a run of parts for the TDR & Zoomatic butt side if there is enough interest.
