Slingerland Tangerine Satin Flame

I cannot find a picture of an actual drum covered in this color. Is it very similar to what Jamminsam was selling as "Satin Fire Orange"? Or is it a finish that is not being accurately reproduced today?

Thanks in advance for your answers.

There's a small sample pic in the Drumguide, not a pic of a whole drum, though. It's in Dr CJW's Slingerland finishes section:

Maybe there's a drum in the Gallery with that finish?

I am wondering the same think.

I have been lolking on internet, for a days, to find a pic on original Slingerland with Tangerine flames, but I could not find anything. I am too intresting if Jammins "Flame" is simmilar to Tangerine.

Contact Sam himself...just call or e-mail.

My guess is, it won't be a perfect match....but the only way to get as accurate an opinion as possible is to ask the guy who sells it.

I just looked at the two oranges on the Jammin site...neither of them will be a match for the Slingerland.

Neither the color or "pattern" is really close, at least if you trying to match old pieces.

Canal plastics has satin flames too,...it may be the same stuff jammin sam has.

Slingerland's satin flames had different size waves or patterns than Gretsch's and they were both different than the "astros" that Ludwig used on their standards. And none of the reissues available really match any of them that well.
