Slingerland Snare Question

Loading...

I saw this Slingerland snare on cl, the owner say it's from the 50's, but not much else. I'm curious to what model it is and a fair price, thanks.

Looks like a concert snare. Badge is '59-'61. Has it been tampered with? Splay on tension rods; are hoops correct? Odd placement of muffler knob? 3-ply shell.

The muffler may have added, and doesn't look like a Slingerland. The correct muffler for this time period was most likely a dual-pad muffler.

He told me the tone control is original. What's a fair price for one of these?

the tone control is original? Too a Ludwig drum not a slingerland. IN 100% original condition these sale in the $250.00 range. I wouldn't pay no more than $200.00 or less.

+1 with vintagemore2000 and idrum4fun. Correct muffler is a two pad model and control knob should not be in the same panel as the badge. Not original.
