Just found this post by Mark Cooper from DrumForum.org. A few years back he posted a Slingerland like mine. Professional model with heavy, double flange hoops. His is a bit cleaner than mine:

Here it is for now. Removed all the grit and crust. Keeping the red paint because it's interesting. I can always remove it later.
I noticed the throw handle has Patent Pending stamped on it. I'm guessing it's from the early 30s, but if someone has more insight then chime in.
