Slingerland Snare mystery

I have this Slingerland snare, its been sitting in its case for about 5 years. Given to me by a co-worker. I have decided to find out what this sucker is the badge says it was made in Niles, Illinois the badge serial number is # 40377. Its sparkle blue finish and all original hardware and hoops are in excellent shape.

Any help would be appreciated.

If you put a half way decent picture out here these guys can tell you what phase the moon was in when the drum was made... they're amazing!

Not a Guru... just interested..
