What is this thing? I bought it for $6 at a yard sale. I haven't been able to find another slingerland with this finish. It looked to me like the snare from a cocktail set, I don't think it's that old. It's all metal. It doesn't have a chrome finish. It is more of a matte finish. Small engravings all over the shell. Please help me figure this out!! It has a Niles, Illinois Badge with 57065 as the serial number. The badge is black and brass.
