I 'm going to look at some Slingerland snare drums tomorrow. What is a fair price
to negotiate on 8 lug 3ply 60s or 70s snares in playable shape ? 5.5 x 14 , and COB 5.5 x14 , 6.5 x14? I know that Slingerland price have dropped over the last few years.
The seller says they are in " playable" shape . That is all I know until tomorrow.

$250 seems to be the magic number for both wood and metal Slingerland drums in the category your going to look at a 6 1/2x14 is is the $300 and up range .

In my neck of the woods, those are Ludwig and Gretsch prices. 8-lugged Slingerlands abound in the $150-225 range. I know of a COB Slingerland, mint condition, for $99, that hasn't sold for 3 months. If I liked them, I would have snagged it in March.
