Looks like the snare is dated 64. Here’s the date stamps inside all 4 drums. Also a pic of the seem of the floor tom.
Other than the lack of push buttons for the floor tom legs there is nothing unexpected here. How about the BD seams? Also guessing the snare is a 3-ply shell?

I gotta be honest, this kit is up on the shelf right now while I work on other stuff. It will probably be there until I figure out something to patch those holes with and/or find another strainer (or knob for the strainer). The floor tom mounts are the Steve Maxwell repros. Those things are the best!!! I think the snare is 3 ply.
If I get the ladder out and start moving some stuff I’ll check the bass drum seam and the snare ply. I still think these wraps on the bass drum and floor tom were removed from another kit and put onto these shells or the wraps came off of these shells some how and were glued back on but that doesn’t explain the 64 stamps if the smoky pearl was only in the late 50’s right?

I believe that the wrap to shell misalignment visible at the hole drillings is actually a result of some type of wrap shrinkage, hence the cracking and seam separation.
If anyone else here owns a Smoky Pearl set could you please tell me what the Date stamp is on it? Thanks so much for your time!
