Not sure how familiar you are with Slingerland drums, but I can tell you that the bass drum tension rods and claws are not original to the kit.

I'm gonna play devil too and say the sizes seem large for something of this period. 24x14? 14x10? But who knows..?

These are definitely authentic Slingerlands. The wood color, the weight of the wood, and the placement and size of the internal, reinforcement rings are identical to past Slingerlands I have owned. Also, they did sell virgin bass drums back in the day. And yes, 14x10 was also sold as a custom tom size. The bass drum has no filled holes anywhere. I looked this kit over before I purchased it from the original owner.

The original chrome over brass snare came with them too, therefor these are real Slingerlands.

The bass drum does have after market rim claws they are not slingeland and the t handle tension rods are 50's model Radio king not original to the drum either just a heads up.

Nice set up...

The snare looks like a Festival to me, these are COS, and were not sold as part of a kit to my knowledge.. but they are a very nice sounding snare.

Cheers

Also notice the 24" has just the one set of spurs.. not too many of these for that period..

How would you describe this kit then? Exact year? Pieced together at some point?

If you could post up the individual serial numbers, a story may unfold.

All the best..
