Picked these up last week. Guy's dad was a cruise ship drummer. Still had original heads. Nov 1964. He'd only take $50, said he wanted to see them fixed up. Really great looking. Chrome is as good as I've ever gotten on an old set. Already found a 15" that'll make a great floor tom. It's on it's way. Trying to get the band to do a gig as "Charlie and his Tunas".

Nice. Reminds me of the time some guy called me and said, "I've got some old Ludwig drums up in the attic. Give me $50 and get them out of here." I scored a sky blue pearl 60's set in 13/16/22, with a chrome Supra 400.

Then, I cleaned them up and flipped them for $350.

These aren't going anywhere! great sounding drums. Been restoring drums since 1968. These are one of the best I've ever had.....

Really cool! Definitely get them cleaned up and gig them! So, was that marching snare used as the main snare drum?

No. I pick it up to use as a floor Tom.

That's a great match. You'll have a terrific little drum set. Are you going to attach floor tom legs? Use a cradle? Fly the tom? When I decided to use the 10x14 mounted tom from my Rogers set as a second floor tom, I acquired a cradle that worked out very well. That way, I didn't need to modify the tom at all.

No matter how far you push the envelope, it is still stationery.
