yall have all been a big help thanks alot for the input how will i know if the heads will fit if i wrap it. i dont want to wrap it then all of a sudden my heads dont fit.

If you're worried about the head not fitting don't wrap the drum to the edge; leave enough of the shell bare below the edge and the the head should fit fine. I've got a '38 RK and its my main snare; incredible sound at all tunings. Good luck
