The look is amazing but the sound of her must be pure 1940`s and they can`t make snares to sound like that these days, no matter how hard they try...gorgeous snare insanescott.

No engraved top hoop

I asked that question because I have the same drum and it also

has no slingerland stamped on top hoop. I think mine is early 40's.

Beautiful!

Is it a re-wrap?

I had a pre-war brass badge RK like that too, and the top hoop was stamped. Also had the screwed on snare gates, guessed to be about 1939-40. Perhaps the earlier models had no top hoop stamp.

They do have a sound like no other! Pure solid maple!Bowing

No engraved top hoop

I may be reading this wrong, but I think what he was saying is that the top hoop is engraved, not stamped.

The top hoop is neither engraved nor stamped. Also, this is the original wrap.
