Slingerland? No badge, no airhole?

Just seen what appears to be a pretty old (guessing late 50s/early 60s) Slingerland kit in Sydney (same colour as the Mike Gallichio kit shown in here) with a metal snare (badged) and a rail tom mount.

I'm no Slingerland expert but they look like Slingerlands from the lugs, have original Slingerland stamped calf heads - only thing missing is badges and, bizarrely, airholes. Have no opportunity to take a photo but can anybody guess their way to when these might be from, if they've actually ever seen anything quite like this.......and if they are likely to be Slingerlands.

Slingerland didn't put badges and airholes on their toms until the mid 1960s.
