FOR SALE Incomplete Slingerland marching snare 12 X 15 , missing tension casings, bottom hoop & bottom drumhead and snares (though I will include a set of 14" snares with the drum).

The vent badge design indicates between 1956 & 1959 with the full loop on the lower part of the 'S'. The interior has a small penciled date of 1957 but I would not rely on it since it is not an ink stamp.

The color is blue/silver/blue duco which is in good condition, except for some missing silver paint above the snare strainer which is from the drummer's hand engaging and disengaging the snares.

The batter head has a stamp reading : 'AMRAWCO CALIF Professional' with a star shape behind the letters (a nice touch for the vintage look).

I consider this drum good for restoration. Or repurpose as a conversion to a tom tom, though depending on how it is done it could destroy the originality and purpose of the shell.
