Slingerland marbel snare question

Loading...

Hey everyone,

I've been eyeing this snare to "complete" a kit of the same styled marbled drums, but i'm not sure of the price. The couple extra holes and the different throw and butt plate is definitely a turn-off, but I don't see these snares come up too often. Advice?

I would surely pass on this Slingerland drum it has a gretsch throwoff on it and the wrap is in bad condition.

If your kit is in mint shape then you won't be happy with this snare. i'm guessing it's not going to sell and he will re-list it. If you still want this snare to finish your kit send him a message and make him a fair offer , he's not going to give it away it's still got some value.

Great advice everyone, much appreciated! The kit I have isn't in mint condition, so if I could get it at a fair price I think I'll snag it. Just a couple more questions:

How often do these show up on the market? I'd hate to have to wait years upon years to even see another.

How much am I looking at (ballpark) to get original parts (i'm only assuming it's the throw and butt plate at this point, though i'm sure there's more).

Thanks again everyone!

Thanks for the info VM2000...I'm leaning towards passing, but I'll throw an offer his way anyway, couldn't hurt.

Hey Andrew,

a friend in Kazoo is working on getting the same drum, but in a 6-1/2 by 14.......

I saw pics already..........cloud badge/3 point >(missing arm)

It's only a 6 lug though...........odd..........

It's seen better days .........no extra holes AFAIK

I'm trying to get it .

Blair,

Interesting...If you get it and want to sell I'd definitely be interested. Keep me posted! (even if you get it and decide to keep, I'd love see some pics!)

Thanks!
