Slingerland Maple Wood Finish - Page 2

What is the name of the hi-hat stand you are using? I know the "Big S" bass drum pedals from that era were called "Tempo Kings". Is the same true for the hi-hat?

Very cool kit, I would love to play that thing!

FFR428: Thanks for the kind words, Glenn. You are right in regard to your "addictive" comment. However, I think I'm done for awhile. I've honestly got more than I hoped I would be able to put togher right now. It's probably time to seriously consider "downsizing" or looking into some trade possibilities. Never an easy thing to do though!

vyacheslav: Appreciate your feedback. I never thought about the weather radar map. The hi-hat stand in the pic is a Slingerland #806"Dynamo" model. I've also got a Slingerland #804 "Direct Pull" (flat base) hi-hat stand that I could use with this particular kit.

Just when I was about to abandon this project fellow forum-member Mountainhick came up with the missing pieces that I needed and Mikey777 supplied some mounts which allowed me to finally complete it.I've always loved the looks of the natural maple kits. This one features all 3-ply shells. The in-lays in the bass drum hoops are green glass glitter and right now I'm using a green glass glitter Leedy & Ludwig snare to complete the kit. I'm still searching for the matching natural maple Slingy snare at a reasonable price. Hopefully I'll find one in the not too distant future. I've also got the matching Slingerland stands, although they're not shown in this particular pic.

I'm doing a near identical rehab to a set with a '76 BR snare. Did you refinish the shells? If so, how and with what coatings? dean
