Slingerland Mahogany Kit

Loading...

I've VERY reluctantly put my 70s Slingerland Mahogany Kit up for bids on

e-Bay. If interested, it's Item No. 270468950810. Please read the listing very closely to determine which items from the pics are actually included in the auction. Unfortunately, I didn't have the opportunity to take pictures solely of the affected pieces, since I hadn't anticipated "moving" this kit.

THANKS for looking!

Old School, that is one pretty drumset. Are you selling the matching snare in a different auction?

Rogers early Fullerton Blue Strata 22,13,16 w/brass Dynasonic
My first kit, 1983 Ludwig Rocker? (it has the classic lugs and 4ply maple shell) 22,12,13,16 ..now in black oyster pearl. I still have it
Stop Sign USA Gretsch (80's), black nitron jasper shell 22,12,13,16
1995 Fibes Austin,Texas Badge (original owner) 22,10,12,16,18 in natural wood
USA 2007 Rosewood Gretsch 22,13,16 w/12inch 70's Rosewood Gretsch tom

SUPER B: Thanks for the kind words. At this point, I believe that I'm going to hold on to the snare drum. My "original plan" was to collect vintage American-made snare drums, not kits. However, being the undisciplined individual that I am, the "plan" went terribly wrong very quickly and, as a result, I've currently got more kits than the space needed for them.

Sorry to see those go, OldSchool, they are gorgeous...

I can see the cocktail cymbal mount a little better in your previous post about this set, but could you tell me please, what are the pieces you put together to achieve that?

Just curious, I'm working ( painfully slowly ) on a similar set..

Thanks, and best of luck with the auction!

Kevins: Thanks for the positive feedback. In regard to the "cocktail cymbal mount" I actually purchased it exactly as you see it. It's an old Leedy item, so I didn't have to "piece-meal" anything together to get that effect.

Thank-you very much.

I haven't seen a mount like that before, I dig it!!

Yeah, I'm finding that Leedy made some pretty cool and also some pretty far-out stuff! I'm having better luck finding Leedy/Leedy&Ludwig orphans than I am Grestch! LOL! And I thought the Leedy stuff would be hard to find.....oops, sorry Gary. Didn't mean to hijack the thread.....Cool1
