I just started restoring my slingwig snare. The chrome on all 8 lugs is cracked all over. they are 1960 slingy lugs. It had a luddy keystone badge on it that isnt original lol. I am also still looking for the gold on black chicago no serial number oval badge. I found some lugs on ebay for $75. Thats more than I gave for the drum. Is it a sin to put lugs off of a new drum on this?

You can get Slingy repros from drummaker.com. They are cheap and they will hold you over till you can find some vintage ones for cheap.

You could get your old ones re-chromed, it should run you around $60-$75 to have them done.
