Slingerland lefty consolette placement?

Loading...

Check out this bass and tom on ebay:

here

Doesn't this look like it was set up for a left-handed drummer? Have any others turned up like this? Sorry about the link; perhaps someone with a better computer could post a picture.

Thr picture is very vague about which side the rail is mounted on in it's slightly off-center location. The drum head with the logo might be the reso or might be the batter. That would make a difference. Also, the drum is not sitting properly with two lugs near the floor. Where are the spurs located? This picture is one of several eBay listing from this store that demonstrates that they have no idea of how to set up a drum set, and ask way too much money fro the items they list.

No matter how far you push the envelope, it is still stationery.

From that first picture it looks like the left hand spur is pointing away from the person shooting the picture (at least it does to me :)). This would mean that the drum is set up for a righty (i.e. the consolette is set up on the left hand side) and the Slingerland logo is on the batter side here rather than the reso side.

Yes, the pics are terrible. It appears to me that there is SOMETHING off about the placement of the consolette. Look at the interior of the drum.

I just recently sold a set like that.

Bass looks totally normal. The tom is mounted backward. To me it looks right for a right hand player.
