Slingerland ID help please

Loading...

Hi. Just recently purchased a 24" Slingerland bass drum advertised as an RK. I think it's the Artist Model (No. 337A). Would that be about right from the attached photo? The brass badge indicates early 1950s I believe. Thanks

I believe that it's 24"x14" although I confess that it is still in transit so not got my tape measure onto it yet!

Does that make a difference to the model?

No it doesn't appear to. I was just curious of the depth.

Just returning to my original query, is it the Artist model?

Per "Artist Model" don't know that bass drums were classified. Single tension denotes lower end. If that helps. Not a darn thing wrong with ST on basses.

Very nice !! Looks 24"x14" to me. Cool wide wood rims and Streamline hardware that should polish to as new. Badge looks 48-51. Careful were the duco paint is lifted. Easy to knock off. Should have my 22"x12" blue/silver duco finished tonight. Great score.

Nothing special here but I like them.

Thanks very much for the info - most helpful. Really looking forward to seeing what it sounds like as it still has the calf heads. Not played a 24" since my Rogers XP8s in the mid 80s. This was actually an accidental score on Ebay - put in a sub-$100 bid and won it. Mind you it's costing a small fortune to ship to New Zealand!
