Slingerland Drums!

Loading...

Hi!

I am new to this forum - and new to the world of Slingerland drums. I am looking into buying a Slingerland kit - and, NO!, I don´t expect to get an answer to how much I should pay and so on.

Just - can anybody tell me something about the kit, the age, and its quality IF it is in good sound working order.

I haven´t seen the kit yet, so I know nothing about delamination, roundness, bearing edges. Yet. But that is something I will do something about in a couple of days.

These are sellers photos:

I apologize for the lack of sharpness and will make better photos when I get there....

The seller don´t know much about drums, but know the drums are quality, and the kit is priced accordingly - not a 100$ barnfind.

It seems it is a 18 or 20X14, 10x8, 12x9, 15x15(?) and 14x5(?) snare, all presumably in some laquer finish.

Can anybody hazard a guess as to what it is - the badge looks to me like the 56-59 Badge with the "S". What about the tom holder - does that look original?

Any help and advise on what to look for and check when I go to see the kit is very much appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Jon

Hello Jon,

I am not an expert by any means but one thing I can tell you is that tom holder is not from the 1950's.
