Slingerland drum age

Loading...

I am a new member so, Hi! Last week I sent a letter and pics of my son's drum given to him 37 to 38 years ago by my grandfather. If i need to send the pics again, I will. I am hoping someone, maybe CJW, can tell me the age so I can get an appraisal. My son is considering selling it.

Can you just post the pics in this forum?

And also the description.

Email requests to me at the main email get over loaded and answers

take longer.

Hello,

I went back into my email and found your question. I remember sending you to the DrCJW pages. From that you can tell by the badge the age and also the type of shell.

Click here for the Slingerland badges. Your badge is pictured and a nice date range is given.

Here is a selection of snare drums pages from Slingerland

With that info you will have the year and the name of your drum, which is a Student Model Radio King.

I hope that answers the questions, but how much is he trying to sell the drum for?

I would not invest in an appraisal for the drum, the value is not that high and the drum is not rare.
