Slingerland chrome plating or polish ?

Hi, everyone

I just got my "old" 1966 WMP slingerland serial#175385.It has some light rust on some lugs no pitting. Is there any polishing product out there that can restoring and cleaning all the rusty parts ? or chrome plating can be one of the solution ?. Please help.

I've had good luck using Mothers chrome polish on lugs. Brasso works well, too -- with a light touch and soft cloth, of course.

For removing rust on small parts like rods, screws, lug inserts, & strainer mechanism, I've had fantastic results with Evapo-Rust. Just soak the parts in the stuff overnight and the rust is gone. No scrubbing, no scratching.

Wow..I will try this and do you recommed "simichrome" paste for polishing ?
