Slingerland Capri Snare

Loading...

Hi Folks,

I've been looking for a Capri with a three point strainer. Saw this, but seems to have been modded. Other than the extra holes how easy would it be to put back to normal. I'll pass on this one, just curious as to why you would move things, look like they have been moved upwards. Pic nine shows where the butt plate originally sat.

The "mod" appears to be that the snare bridge, opposite the strainer, was raised a bit higher up the shell. My guess is that the original position may have posed a problem with how the snare wires sat. It may have been like this from the factory and the person who drilled the shell may not have noticed the problem. Even after assembly, this issue may have been there, but the decision was made to ship it out as is. Just my educated guess! Other than that, it sure looks like a really nice RK snare drum! If you decide to purchase it, try it out before making more holes. It just might sound perfect the way it is!
