They sounded very good when I tried them out before buying them.

I'll know more tomorrow when I take them to the studio.

BTW, I payed $425 and the guy threw in an 18" Zildjian zbt china cymbal, whoo-hoo!

Love the color, what year, what kind of interiors?

I believe these are mid - late 60's, the interiors look like a lite chocolate finish.

It has 3 extra holes on the 12" tom and the bass drum had some holes plugged up on top.

I'll get some pictures later, maybe one of you Slingy guru's can figure out what they were for.

This is definitely a players kit and I'm thinking of having it recovered in

white marine pearl.

The 12" tom is darker, looks more like purple glass glitter, anyone know how

this could happen? The 16 and 22 match perfectly.

With the extra holes it could be a tom from another set. That set up would normally be a 13, 16, 22, no? If you are going to rewrap would you consider trading that 16x16 for another? I am looking to rewrap an older 16x16 in dark blue sparkle. The one I have is champagne. Thanks

With badges on toms, they are post Nov. '66

With tan interiors, they are '66 to '70

Should have serial numbers on the badges.... you can date down to the year with them.

Straight outta Dr. Wenk's article in the Drum Guide

Here's some more pics.

You can see the date on the kick, March 5, 1959.

The picture of the chocolate interior is the 12 and the 16 is the same.

The hole on top of the kick has been plugged up, but I don't know if this hole

was factory. You can see four smaller holes around it, this looks like a tom mount went here.

Then your kick is not a match by year to the toms.

You can see it is not a tan interior, and the toms would not have badges in '59.

The bass looks to have had the model 171 tom mount installed at some time.

Same as in the Modern Solo Outfit in one of our catalogs.

Is the hole pattern 4'' x 1 and 3/8" ?
