slingerland bassdrum

Hi,

Would like to know if there were Slingerland bassdrums built without a console for toms. And if so, did Slingerland do that in the sixtees also.

Yes, you can find what we call virgin bass drums with no tom mounts.

This happened early on and in the 60's. Many times sets with double bass drums did not have tom mounts.

Slingerland had the Jet Outift #20N and the Jam Session with no tom mounts on the bass drum. Plus I'm sure people special ordered them that way.

They also had other sets with toms that mounted on to the bass drum hoop with a hoop mount tom holder.
