Slingerland bass hoop finish

Loading...

Im restoring a gold badge slingerland kit with a set-o-magic tom holder. Assuming 68 or 69? Anyway, Im wrapping it in BDP and had to replace a hoop and some claws presumably due to that decade where people threw half that stuff away. Should black inlayed bass hoops be flat or gloss?

Thanks,

Garrett

Agreed... Semi Gloss or Satin is best.. (Flat is not as durable marks easily.. & Gloss shows up every ding/flaw in the grain)..

Cheers

I used Rustoleum semi-gloss on the new hoop and it matches the paint on the old hoop almost perfectly.
