I like this snare so much, I had bought two of them over the years, this one is in much better shape. I'd rate it 8.5 out of ten. its a 5.5 x 14 8 lug. The sound you get from this snare is next to amazing. Its the drum I brought when we opened for REO and even Bryan Hitt and John Aldridge (his drum tech) commented on the sound of this snare. (sadly John would not trade it for one of his inscribed snares) LOL

Wish I had the money. I have a Slingerland C.O.B & C.O.S but no Aluminum. Great looking drum. Good luck with the sale.
