Some time ago, I posted a thread about an old Slingerland parade drum I acquired, I still don't know what to do with it. But the lugs are the small 40's Super lugs which I think are some of the best looking lugs ever made. Unfortunately there were only 12 lugs left on the drum -- the others were broken. I feel I have 2 options:
(1) use the lugs to build a custom snare drum just to use the 'look' of the lugs, but not as a restoration venture, that would be too expensive and take more time than I want.
(2) sell the lugs to someone who really wants and appreciates them. And in that regard, I would want enough to justify my giving them up :-)
So, what do all of you think? Are they rare enough and worth enough to sell, or should I keep them just for the beauty of them for a semi-restoration?
