Slingerland 22 inch bass

Hi Folks,

I have a question. Did a Slingerland 50N set come with a 22 inch bass? My Slingerland book, shows it came with a 20 inch. Was this an option ? As always thanks for the help. Bucky

'69-'73 catalogs list the 22" BD as an extra cost option for the 50N. '76-'78 catalogs list the 22" BD as standard equipment with the 50N.

Thanks, I forgot to state that this was a 69 model 50N, wasn't sure because the 2R, is pretty much the same. I figured it just be an option.

$8.00 extra for the 22" BD on a '69 50N. Difference between 50N and 2R is the cymbal stands, snare stand and HH. Flush base for the 2R, "heavier" duty for the 50N.

Thanks that's what I thought. Also, have another question that I hope you guys can help me with. This set that I am thinking about buying, the guy told me was all four drums were painted black on the inside over the maple interiors. Do you know if it can be refinished to original and cost to do that. Or just leave as is?

'69 shells had a beige (weak milk chocolate) stain on the interiors. Theoretically you could apply it directly over the non-original black paint.
