For Sale: 1956-1959 Slingerland Radio King Student Model Blue silver duco, 5 1/2x14". Nickel hardware, eight lug, rim clips, brass rims, 3 ply shell,,This is one of the nicest student model radio kings I've ever seen or owned, the original owner did add a 50's rogers green pad tone control to the drum. $260.00+shipping cost.

I have eight of the Student Models and Student Model RKs and I can say this is an extremely fine example.

I've seen it up close and personal, she's a honey for sure.

I am guessing that it's an eight lugger? What would make it a student model, the plies?

Lucky yes all student models are 8 lug sorry not to place that in the sale copy also the Student model label is from the shell makeup and the hardware makeup, the Real Rk is either a solid shell or plied model but the rims are double flange with eyelets and the student model had double flange rims with rim clips and no snare gates. confused now?:)
