Are they single headed "concert" or "melodic" toms? Or do they have top and bottom heads?

Pictures are key!

The drums in that color and size's Yes they are rare. But only if the set is not a re=wrapped set.Check the grommets and edges on the drums...Hard to give you a value with out photos....Mikey

It would be near impossible to rewrap a set in yellow tiger pearl as there is no wrap available that's even close, and I'm pretty sure there never has been.

there is bottom and top hoops there just isn't any bottoms on the floor toms at the moment. dirty but i think i can clean em up. so lets say its a 69 kit with all functioning hardware and cleaned up nice. not looking for a hard value but a general guideline.

thanks

Hard to say. I have a 67 Red Tiger kit in 20/12/13/16 sizes. I wouldnt sell them for less than $1000...but they are in amazing shape.

Yellow Tiger is more rare than red I believe. Those big sizes are really cool. I would think if someone was really looking for them and they were in killer shape you could get $1500 for them. If there are issues or if you just want to get rid of them Id say you would have no problem getting $800 any day of the week. The 18 inch floor and 24 inch bass are the valuable drums.

The tiger pearl family of wraps from Slingerland is the best drum wrap ever produced by a human being. Red being the best (biased opinion), Yellow is also awesome, white is cool too, but it is white...... If put together on a jellybean type kit, they could alter the revolution of the planet Earth on it's axis causing spontaneous psunami's and shifting of the tectonic plates. Don't do that. Just buy those, immediately, if not sooner, clean them up and have one of the best looking wraps out there to show off!

Bright, Old School, and myself have all cleaned up a tiger pearl kit, red actually, and they all three look brand new. I haven't really seen a kit of this wrap that didn't look fantastic. Maybe the tiger stripes hide stuff, I don't know, but they clean up like a teflon coated sofa that was covered in plastic. Rich K. had a yellow tiger pearl kit a while back that looked awesome, had or still has a red tiger kit with super set-o-matic and those looked awesome, matching snare too, if memory serves me correctly. I haven't really seen many poor examples of this particular finish to be honest.

toodles
