Can anyone use a Slingerland WMP 18” floor tom 70’s? You won’t find one like this anywhere ( trust me) I bought this drum as part of my monster set at the Niles plant in 1971. It’s museum quality. Since I sold most of this set I only have some odds sizes left I’m selling. It’s in controlled atmosphere storage now. Let me know if you can use it and care for it another 50 plus years or more.

That sounds like an incredible piece of music history! A 70’s Slingerland WMP 18” floor tom in museum quality is definitely something rare and worth preserving. It’s amazing that it’s been kept in controlled atmosphere storage — that kind of care really shows your passion for maintaining its legacy.
I’m not in the market for a drum at the moment, but your post reminds me how important expertise and attention to detail are, whether it’s in vintage instruments or academic pursuits.
