I need a drum kit or two for a studio. I'm after something a bit special, but haven't got a special budget.

So I'm after some expert tips on high end drum kits from any manufacturer that are a bit off the beaten path. So kits that aren't considered classics yet, perhaps not 'that' old, but are nonetheless superb. Kit's that you'd be really happy to make a record with.

Any tips in what to look for from Tama, sonor, Premier, Yamaha etc?
